MARCUS® is a real time vehicle tracking system
that uses GPS (Global Positioning System) technology to provide detailed
information on vehicle activity. This system was created specifically
for service and delivery companies needing an efficient, cost effective
method to manage their fleets. The MARCUS®
GPS system converts GPS data into user-friendly maps and reports,
accessible via the internet. No software is required, simply login
using any PC with Internet Explorer and instantly access your data.
Compared to other vehicle tracking methods, the MARCUS® system provides
the most user-friendly information in the fastest, most cost-effective
method available.
The MARCUS® GPS Fleet Management system is a real-time, web-based
system that allows you to access your mobile work force from any PC
with Internet, and gather information around the clock. The system
is updated every 2 minutes, and allows real-time pings. These features
give you virtually continuous information about stop times, locations,
routes taken, vehicle speed and other user-defined parameters. The
system maintains a 3-month vehicle history with and allows you to
extract reports in excel, PDF, or CSV. The system also allows free,
unlimited event notification via email to your PC, BlackBerry, or
any remote device with email.

The Discrete
Wireless MARCUS® GPS system requires no driver interaction
so the system is less likely to be influenced by driver error
or tampering. Since the MARCUS® vehicle tracking system is
wired to the vehicles power supply, management knows how vehicles
are being used. Compare this system to GPS enabled cell phones
(GPS phones) and other systems easily accessed by the driver.
With a standard 2-minute update, MARCUS®
delivers the right amount of information at a fixed monthly
rate without network delays. |
The MARCUS® application provides various features
and functionality to aid managers and owners of fleets to maximize
operational efficiency without significant capital expense. Functions
included in MARCUS® are the ability to locate and find a single
vehicle, a fleet of vehicles, and the closest mobile(s) to a particular
location’s address. The vehicle’s location is updated every 2 minutes
and can be seen in real-time as well as a historical track or “bread-crumb”
trail for the day or in the past 3 months. Outside of the graphical
representation of data, there are reports that are generated in the
application for beginning to end of day, starts and stops, speed,
as well as a detailed activity for that vehicle. Lastly, MARCUS®
was designed for notifications of occurrences to allow remote monitoring
of the fleet. The manager can configure e-mail alerts for when vehicles
travel in and out of zones, over a certain speed threshold, within
a particular saved location, and even the first movement of the day.
